Griffith and Gutts begin to develope their friendship. Griffith shows his "Ha-ou no Tamago" pendant(Behelit). Gutts flashs back about his childhood. He had been adopted by a fighter named Gambino, who trained him to fight as a mercernary. But Gambino became violent and despondent after being injured and one day tried to kill Gutts. In self defense, Gutts killed Gambino and fled.
